Challenges are out!!

Things are happening at the Metal Minds headquarters.

The challenges for the FIRST Lego League and the FIRST tech challenge have been released and  our teams are working at full throttle.

There is much more to the challenges than just showing up on competition day.  The FLL team is researching and creating their project, trialing ideas and learning to work as a unit.  The FTC team is keeping meticulous records and engineering solutions.

Gracious professionalism is at the core of FIRST.  The skills the members of our teams learn are skills they will draw on for life.

They are taking full advantage of this time to grow as a team and as individuals.

We are hosting the Regional Competition

Metal Minds will be hosting the Northern FIRST Lego League (FLL) Competition on the 18th  November at the Australian Maritime College.  This will be the first time this competition has been held in the North of Tasmania.

We don’t treat our members like robots.

We find our team members individual strengths and encourage them to develop. They are individuals that make up a team. No one member is better than the next. We, at Metal Minds believe in coopertition where being the best isn’t important, its about supporting each other even if that means by helping another team in competition they beat us. We believe each child should be nurtured to their strengths and taught new ones along the way.

We don’t treat our members like robots.  Watch the video clip below.
